Upcoming Tea Party group to host Annual Tax Tea Party in Madison

April 13th at high noon, TeaPartyPerspective.com will be hosting the 5th annual Tax Day Tea Party rally. Most people have never heard of Tea Party Perspective and might be wondering who they are. TPP is a news source that’s written by local Tea Party Activists. Their goal is to get news and perspectives out to the public the mainstream isn’t covering without censorship to any of the writers. Such news has found its way into Politifact, JSOnline and the LA Times because of its grassroots foundation.

Americans For Prosperity who has normally hosted the event has chosen to pass this year. Upon finding out there was no event the TPP founder immediately decided to pick up the torch. Even though Paul Bruno, TPP’s founder, is a Senior at UW-Parkside, he has determined that lack of funds won’t stop this grassroots movement.

Hearing the event was grassroots, radio superstar personality Vicki McKenna and others have signed on to help keep the movement going. Many have said the Tea Party is funded by big corporate money and many others say the Tea Party is a dying movement. If the event happens, it will prove the Tea Party movement in Wisconsin is grassroots.

What is the measure of success to see if it’s alive? Is it 100’s, 1000’s? Will it be mocked and ridiculed regardless of the size as many have done for years? The measure will be for the reporting press to decide.

Mr. Bruno is also going to unveil his plan and will be offering his platform as a no-cost way for grassroots groups to organize and coordinate their activities at a local and state level.

Wisconsin Conservative Grassroots: A Model For The Nation

Most will look at the title of this piece and assume that I have taken up smoking crack or at least drinking heavily. After all this state just elected the most progressive US Senator in our Nation’s history and helped to re-elect a President who is closer to a socialist than any of us even want to admit. With all that in mind let us examine the successes and failures for the conservative movement in Wisconsin since 2010.

Everybody who follows politics or at least knows US history, knew that 2010 would be a solid election cycle for the GOP. It is very common for the party who presides in the White House to lose seats on the Federal and State level during the mid-term elections, but no state in the Union turned more red than Wisconsin.

In one election cycle we won back the Governorship, the State Senate, the State Assembly, the US House of Representatives, and elected a man who ran as a tea party candidate to the US Senate. All in all not a bad election cycle. In fact it was the most successful one for the GOP ever in Wisconsin history.

So where did the momentum come from that caused this huge turnaround in Wisconsin? There is no doubt that having some young dynamic candidates helped but in the end it was the conservative grassroots of this state that carried the day.

Ask any Wisconsin GOP insider from 2010 and they will tell you they had an easy time finding volunteers to make the phone calls, knock on the doors, and man the booths at fairs and festivals. The momentum created by you and I propelled many good conservatives to victory.

Now let us fast forward to the Wisconsin Supreme Court race in 2011. Everybody on the inside thought for sure that Justice Prosser would lose that race. In fact internal polling showed him behind by over 5 points heading into the final week of the campaign. This was to be the liberal’s big victory in their fight against responsible government spending but the conservative grassroots would not allow it to happen as an unbelievable number of them went to polls on that day and elected the best person for the job.

Next came the recall of Governor Scott Walker. There was no way that he could survive this right? Wrong! The first response to the signatures being turned in was a pure grassroots rally that brought 3,000 people to a little park in Wauwatosa. That little get together created the momentum that propelled Governor Walker to victory, making him the first recalled Governor ever to survive. The best part is that not only did he survive, he actually increased his margin from his 2010 election.

Obviously the November 2012 election did not go the way conservatives in Wisconsin wanted it to, but let’s be honest, our candidates were not exactly awe-inspiring. Yes, we rallied and we made the calls for Tommy Thompson and for Mitt Romney, but were our hearts truly in it? In hindsight I would have to say they were not and we took it on the chin. It also needs to be noted that OFA (Obama For America) spent a ton of resources in Wisconsin and their aggressive “tactics” were a definite factor in the outcome.

Finally there were the recent Spring elections of 2013. The unions loaded up big behind their State Supreme Court candidate Ed Fallone, but in the end our hard work and determination won out. Heck Justice Roggensack did so well that she actually won Milwaukee County. It is also important to note that a conservative judge won in Milwaukee and several conservative minded candidates won on the municipal level. These elections are as grassroots as it gets and are proof that Wisconsin conservative grassroots is alive and well.

While all this is fine and good, it is not time for us to relent. We must continue to work to get the right people elected and once they are, we must hold them accountable. The liberals never rest which means we can never rest either. Wisconsin is the model for effective conservative grassroots, lets all continue to work to keep it that way. Our children’s future depends on it.

On Friday, March 22 at the Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara, California, I was blessed to speak on The Life & Character of Ronald Reagan to 70 High School “Young Americans for Freedom” from all over the United States. Many of them came up afterward to thank me for what they said was an inspiring speech. They don’t realize how much THEY inspire me and give me courage to continue in the Battle for the preservation of our Constitutional Republic that at times seems a lost cause.

Since 2009 I have been traveling Wisconsin and America speaking at many Constitutional, Conservative, Libertarian, Tea Party and Republican events.The overwhelming majority of the participants at these events have been “gray hair” Patriots who are profoundly concerned that we are losing our Republic and the Liberties we so cherish. I admire their dedication to fight the fight because they are right. We are dying as BIG Government Statists like Obama, Progressives, Socialists and Cultural Marxists permeate our culture and have taken over the major institutions in our Land.

We are at WAR! Not a War with artillery, tanks, planes, and bombs but a WAR of Culture and Ideas.

Unfortunately The LEFT is Winning their War to destroy our Republic under God as they have not only taken over our government schools but they have duped and or convinced millions of Americans that it is perfectly normal and natural to demand Entitlements from the hard working citizens and producers in the United States.

However, with ALL the negative News of explosive National DEBT and a President who lives in Denial about it, I was encouraged to see many fine young Americans who love freedom, admire President Ronald Reagan and who want to see his ideas and our Founding Fathers ideas back in our Nation again.
They give me hope!

I told those Young American Patriots in Santa Barbara that God Blessed my life by allowing me to be one of the last Americans to meet President Reagan in 1998 in his L.A. office.

President Reagan called the atheistic Soviet Union an Evil Empire because he knew it was a Socialist Empire as murderous and tyrannical as Nazism or National Socialism. Reagan in the face of typical naive and foolish appeasing Left Wing criticism challenged the status quo of containment and detente and resolutely looked Evil in the eye and did not blink. Reagan’s brilliant statesmanship was instrumentally responsible for bringing the Evil Empire to an end and for tearing down Europe’s Evil Iron Curtain of oppression. He had a simple philosophy when it came to the USSR: “We WIN, they lose.” To this day many from Eastern Europe pay homage to President Reagan by visiting his grave in Simi Valley, California at the Reagan Library. I know I’ve been there a number of times and have meet them personally.They applauded him wildly!

Reagan’s simple but brilliant understanding of basic economic principles also tore down the wall of economic oppression ending the 70′s recession and malaise by much needed tax cuts that opened doors of explosive productivity, entrepreneurial expansion, and capital investment whose effect and efficacy gave America our longest economic growth in modern history.

While the intellectual elite of Europe and America called him a simpleton, Americans didn’t need a Ph.D. to see that Reagan “got it.” While he was profoundly well read and could quote the great philosophers and economists of Western Civilization he never flaunted his intellectual acumen even in the midst of harsh ad hominem attacks by the gurus of the universities and elite media who thought they knew so much that wasn’t so. He was right, they were wrong. Dead wrong! And they still are.

Reagan’s genius was his keen insight into the American soul and his passion to convey across our great land that truth. Ronald Reagan knew that deep in our hearts was a desire to be left alone from government encroachment upon our God given right to be free from the entangling bondage that most governments in history have inflicted upon man. Ronald Reagan knew that Americans did not want to be punished for hard work and productivity and they did not want government bureaucrats and Harvard technocrats dictating policy from Washington DC for small businesses and citizens from Albany, NY to Sacramento, CA. Reagan was from Midwest America and never forgot where he came from and never allowed the “DC” world to change his thinking. He was one of us and never let the limelight go to his head as he was always more concerned about virtuous principles than polls, popularity, power and vainglory. When I met him he had this quote on his desk as seen in the picture below:

O’ how I miss “The Gipper!” I loved him like a Dad. In many ways he was like a modern day Founding Father because he brought us back to their values and world. Mr. President we will never forget how you carried yourself,walking tall, shoulders back, always with velvet gloves backed with the steel fist of liberty’s resolve. Most wonderfully you did it armed with that charming smile and twinkle in your eye, a twinkle that I will never forget. Someday Mr. President we will meet again in that shinning city upon a hill that you so eloquently and passionately conveyed to America and the World. Until then I’m off to the Battlefield of Ideas teaching to young and old alike on your life and our Founding Fathers values, values which we so desperately need in our Republic today……

Today, January 21, 2013 Barack Obama was sworn in for his second time on not only Abraham Lincoln’s Bible but also quite appropriately on Martin Luther King’s Bible. As usual, haters of our Republic under God like the American Civil Liberties Union, Freedom From Religion Foundation et.al are having a nuclear meltdown as they decry the needless, stupid and so called egregious mixing of Church and State. These anti-God, anti-Bible, anti-Judeo-Christian Worldview advocates decry such banal practices and traditions at our Inaugurations as an affront to all that is great in America such as “Liberty of conscience” “pluralism” and “diversity.” Such is not the case. Our Founders created a Republic under God that profoundly understood the God governs in the affairs of men and that while the Governments job was not to be the Church it’s job was not to be against the Church. Our Founders understood that government can only be as good as those who are governing and they stressed the importance that they should be guided and “governed” by the Great Governor of The Universe: Jesus Christ. Either God is THE Sovereign Creator KING of the Universe and King of All Kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers and all rulers or He is not. There is no gobbledygook psycho-babble politically correct in-between. God either governs in the affairs of men or he does not. Our Founders choose to follow a God who is there and intimately involved in our affairs daily! From the Continental Congress in prayer to the their publishing of Bibles in 1777 to Presidential Proclamations of Thanksgiving and Repentance, the God of Israel permeates our History.

The ACLU, FFRF et.al. not only ignores our great American Christian history, practices and traditions they distort our collective past and are hell bent to take out any mention of our heavenly roots in our culture, institutions and children’s textbooks. They are winning the cultural war versus our Christian heritage because they have taken over Hollywood, Government schools, our Universities, Wall Street, Congress and the Media.

The Elite-BIG Media is best exemplified by MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnel whom spews diatribes against God and the Bible on his programs as he denounces the use of the Bible in the Inauguration and in public affairs. In clever Orwellian fashion he twists and perverts language while he admires President Obama. Obama to O’Donnell is more of a secular-socialist kindred spirit than an antagonist to “the Left wing atheist cause.”

What absolutely drives the Left nuts is that history, empirical evidence and FACTS are ALL on our side. Out of ALL the books ever written in world history we have chosen the Bible to be used in our Inaugurations and other political appointee ceremonies. Why? Because our Founders who used the Bible to build our Republic knew it was the “Holy” Word of the Creator of the Universe, who is called The Supreme Judge of the World in our Declaration of Independence, and who is THE very source of of our Life and Liberty. BIG Hollywood, BIG Government, BIG Media types like Lawrence O’Donnell may hate that FACT but it is a FACT none the less.

For our Republic to survive we must recapture that reality and we must be willing to take on those like MSNBC etc. who lie about our GREAT Republic under God!

Today our Biblical-Scriptural Judeo-Christian Heritage was represented all over the Inauguration as songs where sung that declared “His truth is marching on!” “He shed His grace on thee.” It was said by Obama that Life was a “gift from God” and that we were made in God’s image and the inaugural prayer was said in Jesus’ name.

You may say: “Hey WAIT Jake!” President Obama endorsed Gay marriage marriage again at the Inauguration and called for BIGGER government in more areas of our lives. You are right. BUT That is for another article. Today I am simply reminding Americans that we are a REPUBLIC under God and have a Rich and Wonderful Christian Heritage that have been expressed in our Inaugurations since 1789.

If we continue to lose the War on Christian Culture in America those traditions will sadly fade away and become history. While President Obama may allow them to continue in our great country they are quickly fading away, ignored or ridiculed by the like of Progressives like MSNBC’s Lawrence O’ Donnell and many other Elites in BIG Media, Politics and Education.
Americans we MUST continue to educate our youth on our Great Republic under God before it is too late!

I am still numb and dumfounded by the Election 2012 results that saw the re-election of THE most radical BIG Government President in our History. As our Republic dies and democracy-mobocracy grows in America I reflect upon the America my father fought for in World War II.

1945 World War II Film….My Dad Joe Jacobs was a Real “GI Joe”

My Dad, Joe Jacobs was a true “GI Joe.” At 17 he joined the US Navy and fought in the Pacific Theater from 1944-1945. As a kid I use to listen to him talk about what it was like to see the destruction Okinawa, Saipan and Tokyo and his love of P-51′s and B-29′s.

In the mid 1960′s in my neighborhood of Appleton, Wisconsin many times when the “baby boomer boys” would get done playing football we would share our Dad’s WWII stories. I didn’t get it then but our generation was birthed by an amazing generation of Freedom fighters and my Mid-West blue collar neighborhood was full of humble, hard working Audie Murphy’s . Those childhood stories planted in my heart an admiration for our Military, our “Angels of Liberty” who have liberated millions worldwide and preserve freedom in America. That admiration led me to dedicating my life to the teaching of American History at the High School and College level for the past 25 years.

Dare I say in this Lefty politically correct day and age that my Dad and my buddies Dad’s were or are “old white men.” It angers me to even have to say that but I have an angry point to make! I guess that makes me according to the Liberal label pundits an “angry old white man” too.

Since I teach History, Government and Current Events, I read and listen to a variety of News sources from ABC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC to FOX News, the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, The Guardian etc. etc. The hackneyed, regurgitated, reiterated, hyper-stressed mantra, cliche and talking point by subjective TV reporters, journalists, pundits, political hacks and Lefty Obama worshiper media elites is that Conservative losers are: “angry old white men.” Romney, Republicans, Conservatives, Tea Partier’s are labeled as antiquated, religious, intolerant, narrow minded, uneducated, sexist, racist and homophobic dinosaurs or “caustic Caucasians” that need to get with the times because “they are a changing.”

They sure are. And not for the better.

“E pluribus unum” is the unofficial National motto which translates “out of many one.” When Lefty writers like Diane Roberts of The Guardian writes:”a few sprinkles of chocolate and carmel don’t change the over all flavour: Republicans are still vanilla” or when Senate Majority leader Harry Reid and NBC’s Andrea Mitchell call Romney and the Republican Party “angry old white men” their hypocrisy and double standard- double speak, speaks loud and clear:

The color blind “Freedom dream” of most of our Founders or for that matter Reverend Martin Luther King has become a nightmare of divisiveness, intolerance and the veneration of skin color, all but White. As radical feminism, pro death-abortion advocates, homosexual values, ethic identification politics and university “other than Caucasian” studies explodes government programs at taxpayer expense to appease the promiscuous politically correct powers that be, Life and Liberty diminish and deny the very essence of the one word that made our Republic under God unique and exceptional in World History: Freedom!

Freedom pure and simple is the heart and soul of what being an American is all about.

But Freedom with moral responsibility before our Creator.

Liberals young and old who pride themselves as being tolerant have become militantly intolerant and “angry” at those individuals in America who desire to recapture the inward belief and practice of freedom with moral responsibility before our Creator.

Conservative Americans desire freedom from inane and insane charges of racism every time we voice our opinions on the millions of illegal aliens who violate our laws and demand a free education, entitlements and no ID to vote. Oops there goes my “Carmel” vote. Patriotic Americans are tired of being labeled as angry white men and racist when we analyze and critique our Commander and Chief or his bumbling UN Ambassador Susan Rice. Hypocritically when we critiqued Conservative Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice we were called bold and honest. No sexism or racism then.

Millions of Americans of both genders with many diverse heritages desire Freedom from a irresponsible spending BIG government gone wild off our backs and at our expense. Patriotic Americans want freedom from an unconstitutional Federal Reserve that prints bogus money that destroys the dollar and increasingly burdens working men and women in America with a pocket book that shrinks as government bureaucracies grow.

I could list a thousand examples of double standards and Janus faced double speak that reflect how absolutely Orwellian bizarre and crazy American society and culture has become in 2012. The problem not only emanates from the progressive secular humanistic Left but it has captured the thinking and rhetoric of many of our children, family, friends and church members.

The other night at my annual Thanksgiving Fire-pit evening with family and friends many within our company young and old alike repeated the Lefty Media rhetoric that “Republicans, conservatives and Tea Partiers need to find a way to reach out to Women, Blacks, Latinos, Jews, and Asians to win them over to our side.” And this was expressed by many who voted for Romney. I realized then it is MUCH worse than I write about in my book MOBOCRACY. Much worse. Citizens are being duped and fooled by the culture around them and lack a historical and constitutional perspective to discern the Left’s manipulation, guilt trip and lies.

It was repeated by many that night “Come on Dad, come on Jake you are stuck in ancient times, times of eras gone by, times of Reagan, times of Lincoln, times of Washington.”

My response to them that night and will be until my last night on earth is:

“This Republic’s greatness, uniqueness and exceptionalism is the reality that we declare from a City upon a hill to the whole world in evangelistic form that all men and women are made in the image of God; thus we are equal and free! Nothing else matters.
Our gender, our color, our class or ethnic heritage is NOT relevant to that reality or to the dream and vision of our Founders. Therefore when we succumb to, cater to and cave into the politically correct societal peer pressure of BIG Media, BIG Government, BIG Entertainment and BIG Education we feed the monster of tyranny and suffocates the sacred flames of freedom’s fire!”

When we ignore, denigrate or deny the eternal and profound wisdom of “white men” like George Washington, Patrick Henry, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, George Mason, Samuel Adams, John Adams, James Madison, John Locke, William Blackstone, Samuel Rutherford, Alfred the Great, William Wilberforce et. al and we venerate the destructive philosophy other “white men” like Karl Marx, Leon Trotsky, Antonio Gramschi, Herbert Marcuse, Saul Alinsky, John Dewey, Bill Ayers et.al. we show how utterly STUPID it is to just as I did to label ideas with skin color. When Frederick Douglas, Clarence Thomas or Thomas Sowell speak truth it comes from within, from the source of all Truth: GOD.

THAT is the essence of Freedom NOT outward identification.

When the 56 “white” signers of the Declaration of Independence and the 55 “white” signers of our Constitution went to Harvard, Yale, William & Mary, Brown, etc. they studied Hebrew, Greek, Latin, French, Spanish etc. through their studies they created a Constitutional Republic under God that was a product of great minds from Christian Western Civilization most of whom happen to be from European “Judeo-Christian & Greco-Roman” heritage. Their ideas are not better because they are “white,” European or “Caucasian”(I hate that racist term) their ideas are better because they are self evident TRUTHS that go back to Moses and Aristotle and ultimately GOD.

This is no longer being taught by BIG Education in America as BIG Government K-College schools have been taken over by secular humanists, progressives, socialists and cultural Marxists who have won the textbooks, indoctrinated the union teachers and inverted and perverted the Glory of the American Story!

1 mile from my home in Appleton is a memorial at Appleton West High School. It shows WWII US Navy veteran John Bradley an Appleton High School graduate raising the American Flag flag with 5 other men at Iwo Jima. Their story, our story is wonderfully told in the book Flags of our Fathers. 3 of the 6 Americans of that famous Iwo Jima picture never came home alive. While those brave Marines and Navy members of our Great Military come from backgrounds as diverse as Quebec, Canada, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Ohio, Wisconsin, Jarbina, Slovakia and Gila River Indian Community in Arizona they symbolize and represent E pluribus unum “out of many one.” A oneness that sees not skin color or outward identification as the heart of Liberty but a oneness that understands that FREEDOM is the heart and soul, the life blood of the American Republic.

Americans! This is NOT hyperbole!

The Flag of our Republic is falling, the spirit of our Forefathers is calling. Who among us is willing and ready to carry the Flag of our Fathers and our Forefathers up to the top of that City upon a Hill?!

It will cost you dearly, you will be ridiculed, maligned, and called a fool. You may lose your fame, your fortune and your sacred honor but for the sacrifice and memory of Patriots before us and for the preservation of freedom for our children will you carry our Republic’s Flag once again?

By God’s Grace and Power we will be victorious! Amen.

As an American History for over 25 years I have taught on the Great Presidency of Ronald Reagan. To me he was not only my President, he was like a Father figure. I even took my children to Reagan’s home town Dixon, Illinois many years ago..OK so I had to bribe them with visiting the Lego and American Girl Doll Stores in Chicago but it was important to me that my children got a sense of Ronald Reagan’s Mid-West Traditional Values upbringing-much of that world shaped his Worldview and made him a great man and President.

I use to bag his mother in laws grocery’s at Safeway in Phoenix, Arizona (I actually tried to see him in 1982 at Nancy’s Dad’s house (Dr. Davis) behind the Safeway but for some strange reason the Secret Service didn’t think that was a good idea…:) but the next day Ronnie and Nancy did wave to me “that made my day”) I was one of the very last American’s to visit with President Reagan in his L.A. office in 1998. That visit brought tears to my eyes and blessings to my heart. I will never forget that day in August of 98′. When he died I payed homage to him by visiting his grave at the Reagan Library in California. And now YAF an organization that loves the Gipper like I do is sponsoring me in Pennsylvania the State where Liberty was birthed and our Constitution was born! I am truly a blessed man. Maybe if God wills it I will have the honor of speaking at YAF’s Reagan Ranch someday. Maybe…..It’s in His hands….although if you pray I wouldn’t object to your prayers for that desire…..Godspeed to you all as we work, fight,and pray to keep, save our Republic under God!
